A very simple query but I'm not great with technology.

Bought an IPad and need to set it up. I have Eircom broadband in my home and need to connect to it to set up. Can anyone advise where I would get the Wi Fi password?

    Under the router maybe?

Possibly the code printed on a sticker underneath the router, or:
On your computer go into your web browser:
Type - 192.168.1.254 (assuming you didn't change modem/router) into your web browsers address bar (i.e: long bar on top of page).
Enter "broadband1" for password if asked to continue.
Browse to either Wireless/WLan setup or "3D Wireless" depending on the model. The code should be displayed in these pages

If you just got the router or you never changed the wi-fi password before, the Wi-Fi password might be written on the back of the router. It is for UPC anyway, not sure about Eircom.

If not then go to another computer/tablet/phone which already has access to the internet in your home. If there are none, then connect to the router from a laptop/PC with a network cable (you won't need a wi-fi password). Edit: follow yoyo's advice.

Thanks folks. I can get to the Wireless page of that screen but can't find the WiFi password there. Not sure where it is.

How many digits should the code be?

It's possibly under Wirless/WLAN security. Could be any length but if the standard eircom WPA about 6/8 charecters. WEP keys are much longer
