Cabal 2.45Wol 20/1 ran well in a class 5 handicap last time out[12/1 out to 25/1] with an amature jockey having his first ever ride in public. She likes Wolverhampton having won there in the past.If any money comes for Cabal she will run a big race a decent odds.

Wasn't on today but backed him last two runs. That was an absolutely massive price, should have been clear second fav. Think he is top class

Did Champagne Fever break a blood vessel or did he sulk because he wasn't getting his own way out in front? Most of those Stowaways like to lead.

Chanpagne Fever too bad to be true there but RTW was very, very good.

I fancy Maes Choice in the next at Naas.

Not sure what happened, he went out like a light though.

I thought the step up would suit both CF and Minsk but Rule The World made them look like mugs.

If he reproduces that he would win the Neptune cosily but the way he finished the race I wonder would they contemplate trying him at 3 and going for the World.

Zero chance I reckon. Mouse had to say ''It's easy to be a good judge when you have a machine like that. He's a nice horse and we'll have to talk to the owners to see where we go . he's still a big raw horse. Davy gave him a super ride and he jumped super. We'll take it handy with him.''

Doesn't sound like they want to rush him at all, I wouldn't blame them, he just turned six.

On Charlie's Vic each way at 10/1 think it's a massive price. Thought it'd be around 6/1. Not a gambling yard so the big price isn't necessarily off-putting (but yard can often be good for a bumper gamble)

Cheers, I only saw the race.

Interesting Mouse called him a machine, that's a fair statement.

What the **** was the jockey of Join The Navy doing? She should get banned for that ride.

She had the horse miles back for the whole race and he was still 20 lengths out the back swinging in. I would be spitting if I backed the horse.

    Chapman is replaying it now

Been gambled all day, 2/1 now.
Not for me but best of luck with it.

Cheers Torres, in to 2/1 now.

Dont tear up those Neptune stubs yet.
Champagne Fever found to be suffering from a respiratory tract infection post race.
Was clearly too bad to be true.

Rule The World is 12/1 for it even after that, big price but think I am done with Ante Post so far before the event.

Thanks buddy, I thought the jockey had blown it. The horse was very brave to go through the gap, think he got a belt of a whip before going through.

I'd still have CF to be honest. But i'll wait until he gets there before i had a bet.

The Albert Bartlett becoming a Grade 1 has made things difficult for antepost punting just like the introduction of the Jewson has with the novice chasers.

Rule The World does not have too dissimilar a profile to First Lieutenant who won the Neptune for connections but could end up over three miles. I think Melodic Rendevous looks a stayer in the making and Puffin Billy is ideal for the Supreme Novices yet they both look to be heading in opposite directions. Interesting to see what Mullins/Ricci do with Champagne Fever/Pont Alexandre now after today. I think the accepted wisdom was Champagne Fever to the Neptune with Pont Alexandre in the Albert Bartlett but CF will be on a retrieval mission in his next race and there has to be a doubt now over whether he will travel to the festival. Could Pont Alexandre be kept at two and a half if that happens?

Wouldn't necessarily agree with you. It's dangerous to assume he'd have beaten him today if he was at full strength. I'd be less forgiving until he shows true form again and would take Rule the World over him next time

The way i look at it is to completely right off todays race, simply because we'll never know how it would have played out.

There also might some value in CF now against RTW if they do line up in the Neptune. Wouldnt know how well RTW will cope on better ground either, he could easily end up going over 3 miles at Cheltenham.

UN ATOUT is Gigginstown best novice hurdler. I won't back him for Cheltenham till Willie declares him for his next hurdle race though.

I'm massive on Un Atout also, have been all year. Pity Willie seems reluctant to line him up in the best races

On a line true the minsk form (he probably improved for the trip aswell) I dont think CF would have beaten rule the world today,Absolutelt dotted up know the fav had a breathing problem but I wouldnt back him for anything at Cheltenham hasnt convinced me as a hurdler and anything he does over hurdles is a bonus because hes a 3 mile chaser in the makings maybe willie should have sent him straight chasing as planned before.
