Hi guys, I bought components from hardwareversand.de and built it just before Christmas. I was using during Christmas and now without hassle. Just wondering initially my CPU - FX-6300- idle temp 28-35 under load 42-45. Now idle 35-38, under load the 45-48. I am using stock cooler. I am wondering why temps went up
    Thanks

Did you have something plugged into the USB, like an iPhone, when you took the temp? Because, that will increase it a bit.

The PC eems a bit too new for any signifigant for dust accumulation, is it possible the perhaps the room was considerably colder last time you checked the tempratures? The ambient room temperature can alter things by a few degrees.

Either way they are still pretty decent temperatures for a stock cooler and nothing to be remotely concerned about at the moment.

Yes, if it's drawing power from the USB. But like macro_polo said, your temps are fine.

Where did you get that idea from?

USB draws power from the motherboard which draws it from the PSU. It will have a negligible effect on CPU temp unless there is some kind of bug with the way AMDs CPU temp sensor works.

I can't remember were I read it but, a while back I noticed my temps were a few degrees higher at times. Looking into I noticed it was when I had my iPhone charging on the USB. I was reading that the CPU is used when things were plunged into the USB and drawing power.
