It was released in 1981, way older than most of AH.

It is only an average movie.

The start when he's driving the taxi is really funny, the rest was just gratuitous nudity.

You say it almost like it's a bad thing? The same could be said about Police Academy so.

Just think, there are adults, in positions of responsibility, that were born after Ferris Bueller was made. That just seems weird to me.

"Fort Arnold" was still standing when I went through Basic Training back in 2001, but was only a surge barracks. I recall our First Sergeant admonishing us when we did the obstacle course (the same one as the film) that we had better to better than they did. I remember doing my end-of-Basic PT test running laps around it. By 2008 only a few buildings remained standing, they were being used for urban warfare training.

When I was there most recently, the last of them had been demolished.

    "Fort Arnold" then...

    And today.

Only one building still exists, they actually moved it to the front of the Patton Museum.

Because it means they think they don't have to be clever with the jokes or even funny.

I think it's widely known Police Academy is fucking awful. Except Michael Winslow and sometimes Bobcat!

Bill Murray is one of the most perfectly-timed and nuanced comic actors ever seen. Meant to be a wretched sort in real life.
