Ah K. Still here after all the years. Still talking about what lies beneath.

I would have thought that pulling your fly down would be more rude.

    It's cheaper than air conditioning.

Tell her you can't hear her, you're too busy picking your ears and nose.

It shows a distinct lack of foresight to have to pull up ones fly in public dear boy

one should have ones fly pulled up in private or if its one of those ones with a propensity for slipping down of their own accord then one should have it replaced with a dependable mechanism ... either button or zip based, thats not what matters really, you just want functionality

If its down, pull it up regardless of where you are, unless you're walking out of a school.

Byor: A word originating in Co. Cork Ireland where it began as a generic word for female. The corresponding word for male is 'feen'.

    Ahhhh right.

Well your byor is right. It needs to be done discreetly!

Reminds me of the scene in The Royle Family when Jim's fly is down and Barbra tells him, his retort is, "Ah the cage might be open but the beast is asleep!" :D

A smelly pervert flashed his pubes and a bit more at me when I worked as a cashier as a teenager. The fecker had his pants held up with baling twine and the zipper gaping open displaying his pubes, he definately had no underpants on as there was too much on display, I was horrified. In conclusion zip up your pants anywhere and tie your belt tighter if it feels that little bit too loose so that your pants may fall down or you may traumatise an innocent young person.

Some people might be tempted to look down on the unemployed if you don't do your flies up.

I would say that it would definitely be more rude to knowingly walk around with it unzipped rather than discreetly zip up.

    Much ruder not to.

Delighted to see this thread. The zip on my jeans recently broke so it slides down regularly as I am walking, hence I have to zip it up. Every time I do though I get really embarrassed as though I am doing something "dirty".

Get a key ring and attach it to the zip,put the key ring over the button on your jeans, then button your jeans.Your zip will stay up.

I had to do this in an arthouse cinema only yesterday. The best thing to do is tip your neighbours on the shoulder and politely explain the situation before zipping up.
