50 inch Samsung Plasma - Black Lines on screen

    Hi all,

I have a 50" Samsung Plasma TV about 4 years old. A 2" wide black vertical (with a white line through it also vertical) strip appeared on it about 3 Weeks ago the entire height of the screen.

Was speaking to a guy and he told me that it might just be a loose ribbon cable connection. So I opened up the TV after unplugging it for 15 Mins, and checked all connections on the Ribbon Cables. Found one slightly loose on the AA3 board and clipped this back in.

Guess what happened? Now I have three Vertical Black Lines!!! I then repeated the process above and with a bit of fiddling at the same cable, the black strips improve slightly one at a time but can't get them all to go.

Any ideas folks? Would a new AA3 board sort the problem or is it not worth repairing?
