    Not saying its right what happened but isn't it part of the terms and conditions of Flickr (and Instagram) that you are allowing your images to be used elsewhere.
    I think Instagram issued a statement not so long ago saying they won't sell anyone's images but they could be shared(open to correction)

    Is this child officially listed as a victim or is this a sick mistake by some Facebook profile?

    Also when you say the media BB are you referring to the Facebook profile

    I don't know about any of that but I do think the mom is naive to put photos of her children on the internet and doubly so for dealing with this incident so publically which can only bring unwanted attention on her own children.

    Cathy Gaubert's child was not listed as a victim and is still alive. The little girl who was killed in the attack was Allison Wyatt. She has been in the media with the photograph that Cathy Gaubert apparently claims to have taken herself of her own daughter in 2009.     I would imagine the Facebook accounts honouring the dead would have taken the images from the media, but obviously someone is wrong somewhere. The only sense of it I can make is that it is a case of mistaken identity. Though who am I to tell a mother that she can't recognise her own child from anothers. I have been comparing some images, I don't want to link them as i don't think it's fair on the child, and they do indeed share a remarkable resemblance but I couldn't say beyond a shadow of a doubt that the two children are definitely the same person.

    If it's not a case of mistaken identity then i simply don't know. Could Cathy's online accounts have been hacked to carry out a hoax? Is she some kind of attention seeker? I see no evidence of that. The idea that the attacks were a hoax doesn't bear thinking about, to me at least. Accepting it to make sense of this doesn't work either. Why would they use an image of a living American child with family, friends, teachers, neighbours etc who would see the images of the victims and recognice little ..... from down the road. In short, they wouldn't.

    No, but it's strange that she is having some success in having different Facebook profiles taken down on the basis that the image being presented is in fact her child who was not a victim.
