VW SHARAN CLUTCH

Hi, upon driving to town, the clutch on my wifes SHARAN went to floor with no resistance and didn't return. Pulling up clutch pedal and pressing again makes no difference. No warning lights on dash.:(
Clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder were replaced 3,000 miles ago with no issues till today.
Is this a problem with MASTER cylinder? Could it just be low fluids?
Is there a way to test master cylinder? Could there be something else wrong?

    Any insight appreciated.

Check the fluid level also look under the van to make sure there's no fluid under it to make sure the slave cylinder isn't leaking again. If there is fluid in the bottle under the bonnet it could quite possible still have air in the system.

On a side note good I'd say who ever done that clutch had there heart broke as there a pig to do n e thing with.

Well just being out to have a look at car. The fluid was a bit low, no signs of leaks at break or clutch pedal. Next checked bleed nipple on slave cylinder; low and behold the pipe had disconnected from slave cylinder!? Reconnected the pipe (seemed to click in to place fine) and bled system until no air could be seen from nipple.
However the pedal is still quite spongy and just about works the clutch. There is obviously still air in the system but I cannot seem to bleed it :-(
    Any tips anyone?

It can be quite difficult to bleed these fully without a pressure bleeder. Also the plastic clutch master cylinders as fitted to these are quite delicate and don't react well to being run out of fluid so sometimes the only way to get a good pedal is to fit a new master cylinder.

I take it is a diesel sharan, are you sure the plastic clip hasnt broken on the pedal? Makes the pedal hit the floor. Pedal and clip come as a replacement part together.

Sorry just read op second post. Ignore me!

Is pressure bleeder a piece of kit that most garages would have? What could I expect to be charged for the service of bleeding the clutch?

Is it likely to improve or disprove if left as is?

Yeah all garages would have it. That should be easy for any competent mechanic to sort out
