    Hey guys,

I'm thinking of getting a new graphics card as I want a better monitor setup. Right now I have two Dell monitors with VGA and DVI inputs. Near to the PC I have my TV and I'd like to be able to also output via hdmi to my tv - at the same time. Just so I can occaisonally display stuff on the tv also, as well as the dual monitors..

I just want the cheapest graphics card I can get my hands on that will do this. I don't play any games at all. A bit of photo editing is all really, maybe some video editing on a very rare occasion...

Ideally I'd like to go for something mainstream where its well known, reliable and drivers are easy to get etc etc.

Any recommendations, or what should I be looking at/for that will be suitable for what I need?

    Thanks :)

So you have two monitors, and a TV, and are looking to upgrade the monitor setup. Is this going to be a total of three or four monitors?

This is the cheapest card I found with three digital connections:

    Or if you want fanless:

Everything below has DVI, HDMI, and a VGA port, which wouldn't be ideal with a good monitor or a TV.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I don't actually want to add any more monitors, just the tv - so I only really need need to be able to output to the tv via hdmi at the same time as the dual monitors. I probably just want the tv to show what one of the existing monitors is outputting. Does that make sense?

The one you linked to looks good, however, I currently output to my two monitors via VDI on one, and VGA on another. So as long as I could output to VGA, DVI and HDMI all at the same time, and control what screen shows on which - that would be prefect for me :)

Carefull with cheaper AMD HD6450 cards as pretty much only the Sapphire flex linked above can do three monitors. In generally AMD cards need a displayport to power three monitors at once (The Single Link DVI-D port on Saphire flex cards is basically an onboard displayport adapter).

You will come across cheaper HD6450 with three HDMI/DVI and VGA connectors, but it will be only be possible to use only two of the three simultaneously.

Have you room for a second card?

Ah ok thanks guys. So the second one linked above looks like it will do the job.

Basically my old graphics card was a Club 3D HD5450 which had VGA, DVI and HDMI but I could not get all 3 at the same time. I just got a new pc which has a Radeon HD 7570 - it has a DVI and a HDMI but the pc still has a VGA and I was told I would be able to get it to do ehat I need, but right now I cannot even get the dam thing to do dual monitors! Driving me nuts! See here. So I might just get a proper card and be done with it instead...
