Campsites near Perpignan

Were considering flying to Perpignan for a week in early May with our 9, 7 and 2 yr olds as the kids' school has provided a mid-term break at that time.

I'd be really grateful if anyone would be willing to make a firm recommendation of any campsite(s) within reach that they've had good experiences in. Further to that, I've read of a particular spot that looks good, Le Brasilia, which might even obviate the need for car-hire for the entire week. This would obviously be attractive for financial reasons, but I'd only forego the car if almost certain that we wouldn't need it.

If anyone feels they can assist with advice or recommendations I thank you in advance.

Unashamedly giving this one a quick bump in the hope that some weekend only boardsies might be around and able to help.

    LA SIRENE

I can really recommend La Sirene Campsite. It is a 20 min drive from Perpignan and a 5 min walk from the beach.. It has excellent facilities.... You can hire a car or get the train from Perpignan to Argeles. My Family own two mobile homes there.. :-) hope this helps.
