Hi, looking for advice on campsite holidays in France (for 2 adults / 2 kids). As we intend going for just 1 week going by boat is not an option, we are looking to fly in somewhere and rent a car. Am wondering where are the best places to go? What websites are the best to book accomodation etc.

    Hi Wick 1,

I've just posted a similar, yet more specific info. request to yours. To date, we only have experience of sailing to a particular campsite in Btittany called La Grande Metairie(sp?) in Carnac. I'd recommend the campsite highly and suggest that if you're interested in that area you could fly into Rennes with Aer Lingus. However, when you intend to travel will have a strong bearing on where you should aim for in France.

We hope to go to the South as were aiming for May. Brittany would be unreliable weatherwise at that time.

I suggest you generally google about a bit until you have a more specific idea of when you want to go, and where. Canvas and Keycamp are just two of the large number of accomodation providers. Perhaps their sites can help get you started?
