New Electric Shower - Different Size

I wish to replace my Triton T90XR (packed up) with the Triton T90Z.

No problem with the plumbing or the electrics: but the dimensions are different: the old fixing holes through the tiles will be exposed, as the new shower unit is physically smaller.

Is there some sort of backing plate I could get (chrome or whatever) that I could fix to the tiled wall, cut out for the pipe and cable entry and then mount the new shower unit?

Aesthetics is the problem. I suspect people have solved this problem before, but I can't find any solution to it on the internet.

    Any ideas?

I have come up against this problem a few times before. The best solution really is to replace the Tiles with new ones. It usually just takes a couple of hours, although if you have to provide grounds then it may take a second day to allow it to dry properly. Alternatively you could also go with a larger sized Tile as a backing tile and finish with tile edging. Or a piece of white PVC as a backing plate. But replacing the Tiles will always look the best.

Have ya many holes. You can get away with a touch of silicone sometimes

ARgos are selling a Creda 850DL 8.5kW Electric Shower for €92.99. I stumbled across this online and didnt think it was possible to buy a shower so cheap. My knowledge of plumbing and electrics is quite limited, does anyone have any experience of buying this model or am I missing a trick ?? At the moment we just have a bath which feeds of the central heating , do I need anything else bar a wire from the mains supply into the bathroom and to connect the hot and cold feeds into the new shower?

Just put a mirror head screw into the holes left over, you can get them flat or domed.

I think that shower is a mains fed shower , it is not a hot and cold pumped one .

Good thinking. Easier than breaking out and replacing tiles
