Write-off or Repair

    Hi,
Had a car accident 2 weeks ago. The car was hit at the front passenger side and the damage is shown below. Does anyone have an idea whether this damage would be very expensive to fix or would the insurance be inclined to write the car off?

Just wondering, as we are now stuck in a VW polo with the children etc so I might go out and buy another MPV in the meantime, if it's unlikely the insurance company would repair it.

    Thanks in advance

Best and easiest way to find out how much it will cost is to get a quote from a car repair service. There may be a lot more damage done that we cant see here, But looking at that picture the list is already comprehensive.
    Bumper
    Bumper Reinforcement (underneath the bumper)
    Front wing
    Headlamp
    Front tyre
    Front Wheel
    Suspension
    Suspension Bearings
    Plastic between bumper and Bonnet
    Bonnet

and thats just the obvious stuff ...depending how hard it was hit the chassie MIGHT be bent as well.

Hopefully there was noone injured in the collusion.

Probably write off due to the low value of the car.
Might be an idea to take the pay out less salvage value which would mean you still own the car. Should be cheap to fix with secondhand parts really.

Yeah thankfully no-one was injured so counting my blessings on that score. It helped that he was only beginning to accelerate as he pulled out from a garage.
Think I'll just replace it with another Stream rather than repair it.

    Thanks for your help!
