I've been trying to work from home but get too easily distracted. So, trying to get a bit more disciplined for 2013. Is there somewhere I can go other than the public libraries where I can do some work? I'm currently working on a website and doing a bit of research.

I think you can rent a desk here (in Mervue) or http://www.bbec.ie/facilities-services/ in Ballybane.

    There are others available too.

You want to pay? Other serviced offices in Galway include Level One, Gray Business Park, Sirius Business Centre.

Other than that, cafes. Lynchs on Shop St is good, 'cos it's big (little pressure to vacate the table). Or even pubs.

Want to pay, no. But if needs must... I'll check out some of those serviced offices. But, what I had in mind was the possibility that there might be free or subsidised space provided by Galway enterprise board, or City partnership and such organisations...

Thanks, I'll check those out. I'm in the Kingfisher - Renmore so that would be handy.

Small business, working from home ... you might like to get in touch with West of Ireland Networking (http://westofirelandnetworking.com/), which is
"a not for profit organisation providing training, mentoring and networking services for the unemployed, entrepreneurs and small business owners in the West of Ireland."

They may be able to point you towards some cheap / free options, or tell you how to engage with the various programmes that offer such space.
