Crap TRV's - Options?

My TRVs are sh1te - (They're Purmo branded BTW if anyone wants to avoid them like the plague.) Bought 12 of them for the entire house and of those 3 were doa, total duds, the remainder that I can't drop back are just very poor quality, the valves seem to stick inconsistently and at time fail to function whatsoever.... Also every one of them varies so you can't set each room at, for sake of example, 2 and hope for a comfortable temp as each one varies wildly with some rooms cooking (ie. wasting heat) and others then being freezing etc - I've really come to hate them, cheap, nasty and horrible.....

Wondering what's my best option to replace them, is there any tried and trusted alternatives out there?

There are decent cheap ones out there, I'm after getting sick of the internals of myson ones breaking up.

Cant beat Danfoss, yes they are dear but " you get what you pay for "

It's worth bearing in mind that many people who think that they have bad trvs actually just have an unbalanced system.

Very happy with my Danfoss TRVs also - I trust that they work well

And I suppose it should be pointed out that some valves go on the flow n others on the return & there is also a directional arrow on some valves, as you point out it may not be the valves fault.

I always supply and fit Danfoss valves
Most valves these days are bi - directional so can go on either the flow or return
