Try punch suede/nubuck cleaner and then get the punch instant protection (waterproofer) the cleaner has a built in scrubber on the lid. It can be bought in tesco

    Ugh.

I've had the one pair of Magnums since I started, they've been to Sweden, Wales, UK, all over Ireland.

I think I need to let go and pickup a new pair :(

Instead of opening a new thread, anyone any recomendations for where to get boots?

Looking at probably Magnum Spiders maybe, good prices welcome, don't bother recommending anything Irish since I know from experience boots are so much more expensive here then abroad :P

I went for the Magnum Sidewinder Boot, after researching them I heard nothing but great things and I have to agree, a great boot. They went to Berget with me and after 3 days of walking/climbing miles upon miles not so much as a look of a blister on my feet compared to some poor souls over there.

I was originally going to get Magnum Spider until i read a review on them on Polimils website

    http://www.polimil.co.uk/magnum-elite-spider-81-desert-hpi-boot.html

Review at end of page on link above

Sidewinders cost around €110/€120 on ebay if i remember correctly

I remember someone asking before abouts the bates boots on a thread here somewhere and as I said there they are a fantastic boot very light comfortable for both cqb and outdoor and there goretex if that appeals to you.
Like jayod, I have abused mine for over 5 years now between Airsoft and being in the reserves and they are still perfect and clean up well for inspection.
In my opinion they surpass haix and meindl for the price. I know someone argued that the leather wasn't as thick as them brands but you get what you pay for. I think haix/meindl are €200 or bates for €100 and still get just as long out of them.

Was looking at Spiders, want to grab something TAN anyway.

My Magnums served me well for years but I'm not really fretting over brand, to be honest I've held off buying new ones cause there is something about spending €150 on boots, just irks me.

Protac website wont even load past homepage, and from memory they were severely more expensive then online, and I mean severely.
