New pc budget 1200 euro

Hi guys would appreciate some advice for purchase on hardwareversand for everthing included.

1. What is your budget? [1200 euro give or take]

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Internet, office work, gaming, webdesign]

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [yes]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [No]

5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [/22'+]

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.] yes all of them

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [don't mind]

8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser]

9. When are you purchasing? [In a few days]

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [plan on using hardewareversand service for 20euro]

Case is just a popular one but you may want to pick one you like better lookswise.
You need to grab KB & mouse else where cause from here they'd be german layout.
Havn't a clue on the monitor, probably over kill on the speakers too and could be put to better use else where.

Those speakers are a bit big for my taste lol.
The rest looks good though.
Just a couple of questions.
I see you have a processor cooler in there and I saw on a youtube video that a CPU comes with a cooler already with it, is that right or am I missing something?
Also I was thinking wifi for internet connection but also read somewhere that it's much better to wire that in for a pc is that right? The wifi I have for my laptop seems to work just fine.

Wiring your wifi means it is not open to interference from other sources such as cordless phones or your neighbours wifi.

The CPU will come with a standard cooler. I have put that one there because I spec you an overclockable CPU. If you do ever overclock it, the standard cooler will limit the amount you can overclock by. The standard Intel one will do grand until you overclock so you could leave the other one out altogether and just buy it when/if you plan on dong it.

thanks that clears that up. Since I actually know little or nothing about overclocking then I reckon I probably won't ever do it.

I know nothing about it either but from what I have learned here the main things I understand are as follows:

1, It is easier than ever(pretty much a few button clicks)

2, It can increase performance and as such possibly extend the lifetime of your computer. If its starts slowing up, just give it a little over clock

It is probably worth checking a few vids on youtube to see how easy or not you think it will be with that mobo and cpu and how worth while or not it be for you also.
A lot of folks on here say its well worth the few extra quid so maybe someone who actually knows what their talking about will jump in here and explain it properly.

If you go for a non overclock build you can spend more on the graphics card
Hardwareversand will not install non stock coolers anyway.

The stock levels on the motherboards is very poor right now.

oh my word... how about you save 70 odd euro and buy win8 for a tenner from windowsupgradeoffer.com... Is anyone on these boards even aware of this? copy/paste information from any computer website, put your date of purchase as NOV 2012, fill in the form and buy it for $15 or ~10 euro.

Get tuxy's build but get a 3570k and an asus maximus V gene mobo and a 600-700watt psu

Why does he need the maximus, he has not indicated that he will use the expensive features it provides. 550 watt is loads he is not going for dual graphics cards.

Nah ignore that I thought it was a 7970:rolleyes: you should be good with a 550w

A 7970 would have no problem on 550w either tho. 550w is enough for any single card from HD7xxx series and GTX6xx series.

Yeah a good quality 550 watt would support a 7970 and an over clocked I5

The 7950 is better value for money. You can play games at 1080p with high anti alias settings. That's why I recommended it.
