Suggestions for trad songs for a Paddy's day gig?

I have been asked to do a St Patrick's day gig at a bar in Naples and after agreeing I realised I don't really know a huge amount of trad songs. I gigged covers for years and did one or two popular Irish songs in the set but this will be a one man acoustic thing and I am far from having a two hour set in place. Therefore I thought I would ask if anyone could point me towards a few songs that I might be able to use on the night.

    I already have....

The Wild Rover, Whiskey in the Jar, Galway Girl, The Irish Rover, Lord Nelson, Willie McBride, Sally McLenane. I know that not all of these are strictly Irish songs but people perceive them to be so I am using them. I need about another 15 or 20 and they have to work as a one man acoustic thing also. Any and all suggestions appreciated

There's loads, if you go with songs by Irish artists rather than Traditional Irish. U2, Cranberries, Thin Lizzy, The Corrs, Van Morrison, Aslan even....all can be relatively simple to play on Acoustic.

    Use your imagination!

Maybe have a look at the songs Christy Moore covers.
Bright Blue Rose. Lakes Of Pontrachain. Ride on. Black is the Colour etc...

There's no end of trad stuff you can do. The following go down well for me:

    Past the Point of Rescue
    N17
    Fisherman’s Blues
Las Vegas in the Hills of Donegal
    Star of the Co. Down
    The Nightingale
    Beautiful Affair
    As I Roved Out
    Belfast Mill
    Galway Shawl
    Oro, se do bheatha bhaile
    Leavin' of Liverpool
    Courtin' in the Kitchen

To be honest, if it's just you singing and playing the guitar, then most songs will have a trad/folk sound to them.

    Good luck!

Cheers for the replies. In terms of U2 etc, that would make my life much easier as that is the kind of stuff I can knock out in my sleep, but they wanted Trad so I think I am confined on that front
