    Folks,
Already have a tower (which I like) and a PSU (standard 20 pin connector) so thought it may be more economical to build myself.

The PC will be used for general dicking about / light forensic / data recovery use etc. for college - nothing major, but don't want something lagging. I'll probably run XP on it, with a partitioned Linux distro also

So all I have is the tower and PSU, I need everything else.

I would like to have a dedicated graphics card, but it need not be for gaming.

So is anyone with a few spare minutes willing to put a configuration to paper for me? I guess the constraint is budget: i'd not like to spend more than 400 euro, definately not more than 500. With this i'll need: Mobo / CPU / RAM / Graphics Card / Hard Drive.

I have an IDE CD/DVD burner but most mobo's are SATA only nowadays so would probably need to pick up an SATA CD/DVD drive too

    Many thanks
