    Hi,

So I have a mid 2012 Macbook Pro and it came with 4GB's of RAM (2x2GB).
I upgraded it to 8GB and and the 4GB's that came with it is now surplus to requirements.

I'm looking to sell that 4GB's and I'm wondering if it will work in older computers or only new ones?

    Thanks

I presume its the 13" MBP. The old ram would have run at 1600MHz, and its DDR3, so it'll work in any laptop that takes DDR3 although it would downclock itself to 1333MHz or 1066MHz if the laptop its put into doesnt support 1600MHz.

TL;DR : It'll work in any laptop that takes DDR3, but may not do so at its full speed !
