Sky+ HD Free to air Channel 4

    Hi,

    I've read the sticky above and tried to get Channel 4 in. We no longer have a subscription to Sky and would like to use it for free to air. We've no problem getting BBCs ITVs, those movie channels and LFCtv. We even get Film 4 but no other from the channel 4 range. I've tried with and without the sky card but no avail.

    Can someone help me please?

    You should be able to pick up Channel 4 HD if you can already get LFC etc.AFAIK it's on channel 230 & the sd version on 104.E4,More4 etc. are in the 130's and fta.

    Was your box paired to an Irish subscription card and is the RoI EPG still there even with the card out? Were you watching the ITV's via other channels? If so, CH4 HD like the ITV's isn't on the RoI EPG. Its on the UK EPG at 230 as zerks says above.

    You can tune it in via the add channels function though.

    Frequency 11.127 V, 22.0, 5/6.

    Yes, it is like that. The ROI channels remain with card out afaik (can't check right now)

    I did the add a channel to other channels but i still get a message to contact and subscribe

    Be sure it isn't the RoI EPG version that you are tuning in. That is the only encrypted version of Channel 4

    You may have PIN code restrictions activated.

    Did you try to access other channels with the card still in the box?

    CH4 HD at 11.127 V is free to air (FTA), but if you want to view it in other channels without a card in the box you need to remove all PIN restrictions. If you haven't changed the PIN code, its normally the last 4 digits of the Sky card number.
