Soundproofing adjoining wall to neighbours

    Hi,

We live in a Semi Detached with a dog next door that is constantly barking. We would like to get the adjoining wall soundproofed and am wondering if anyone here has had it done and if so, how successful was it and can you recommend a company in Dublin that would do it?

    Thanks

I did it in my parents house. it was a badly constructed timber frame house with the party wall built in a block on flat, and dabbed on slab. I stripped back the slab to the block on flat and found holes in the mortar joints and in one room i actually found a block missing. I filled all these holes then gave the walls a coat of sand and cement. Allowed that to dry then i put 70mm callibell slabs on the wall. then coated them with normal skimcoat.

while the sound is near impossible to get rid of it has improved tenfold. They can now barely hear any noise from next door.

not including labour costs the job cost 1500
