I havnt gone out for new years since 2004. I dont see the point in the night, you countdown from the ten, everyone cheers and then.................................... Nothing.

Pub. Few bevvies, back to mine for a few more bevvies. Got a few mates coming up after. should be a laugh if nothing else. Sleep off the hangover on the day off.

It's just another day. The calendar was only made to keep track of days, who cares if we passed one more cycle of a calendar our of the thousands that's already passed :)

Yes but a whole year has just finished. A WHOLE YEAR. And a new one. An ENTIRE NEW YEAR is just beginning. :pac:

Realistically, the sun is up again and the next day has begun. Just that.

    Nothing more :)

My best friend wants to go into the city for the night and ring in the new year in a nightclub but I'm not too keen on finishing up the night surrounded by a crowd of pissed teenagers.

First new years where I think I'll stay in.

Haven't really had any interest in the last few years but decided bow to peer pressure!

Nightmare trying to get home, pubs are far too packed, usual anti-climax after that annoying countdown and one that's finished, it's just like any other night.

I'll be planning my nights viewing and getting a pizza or something. If mates need a lift I'll oblige. :)

will be doped up on [prescribed!] lorazepam, necking alcohol and sat sporting the most hardcore peltor ear defenders all because of the fireworks, cant even play music to block it out-profound hyperacusis is a bitch.

First year in a long time that I'm going to stay in- feel too old to be in a nightclub getting drinks spilled on me!

Come 12.05am it just turns into a regular night. A packed night tho thats also a nightmare to get a taxi home later.

I did it for a few years and now I hate the idea of going out into town for new years eve. Not to mention getting ripped off with the price of drink.

I'm much rather goto to the off-license and then bring in the new year with my girlfriend or in friends house or with family.

At home with my wife and baby. Hopefully we will get her to bed by eight, and have a meal and bottle of wine together.

How times have changed, but I don't miss going out NYE. Private parties were great pubs and clubs sucked.

If it's anything like last year, I'll be incredibly drunk and miss the countdown.

Never go out for New Year. Have a more traditional Scottish way of celebrating. A house party with family and friends but the drink doesn't flow until after the bells lucky to see my bed in time for the bedtime that night

I'm having about 15/20 people around to mine. Drinks food music have a laugh, watch the countdown/fireworks at midnight. We've been doing that for the last ten years or so different people hosting each year.
