Hi Guys what stores or online stores have sales on professional film equipment e.g. audio equipment, cameras, tripods etc. Any responses appreciated.

Sales on pro equipment are always minimal. I always say it's better to get what you need rather than just looking for a bargain.

Good gear is hard to find on sale, especially name brands. I'd check out the secondhand market, there are a lot of pros who upgrade their kit's on a regular basis and usually sell their old equipment for a fair price.

You really need the know the specifics of your requirements, there are lots of levels covered by the term professional equipment, for instance when it comes to sound capture a Rode mic is a quarter of the price of a Sennheiser 416 yet the Rode is used at professional level.

So first things first, find out what fits into your budget, then when you are armed with the equipment make and model information you can begin your search, you might find you don't have to go outside this country to get what your looking for.

Bblist, techbid, kitmondo, Libra broadcast, just google 2nd hand broadcast kit. Avoid eBay, was speaking to sennheiser recently and the tech said you'd be amazed at the number of people who think they got a deal on a sennheiser Mic, they send it in for a service and the innards are not sennheiser.
