Will- joint ownership

    hello folks,

I am doing probate for my late father. In his will he left the house to my brother, with permission for my mother to remain there as long as she lives. The thing is, we renovated 30 years ago and it turns out the bank insisted the house be in both names for the loan. So in effect, the house is in joint names. Does this mean the house is now fully my mothers and also that my father should never have willed the house away in the first place? So even after my mothers death, his will concerning the house is not valid?

    Many thanks
