Rent Supplement

Hi

Hoping someone can help with this and it's in the right forum?

I'm currently renting a 2 bedroom apartment and paying the landlord directly.

The other room is rented out by a colleague who has currently lost her job. She pays the rent to me.

She has signed on for jobseekers benefit, she is looking at making an application for rent supplement.

The landlord lives abroad most of the year so wouldn't be in a position to complete the form easily.

As I'm technically subletting would it be ok for me to complete the parts of the form required to be completed by the landlord?

Would like this to run as smoothly as possible as I'm not sure the girl will be able to pay the rent long term without rent supplement which leaves me a little stuck.

Part of the form will need to be filled in by your landlord or their agent. from here http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/supplementary_welfare_schemes/rent_supplement.html (in the how to apply section).You could be considered as the landlords agent.ie you are collecting rent ect on his behalf.
