Saw some 'Warsaw' thread but a good few years old, so decided to make a new one.

Heading to Warsaw early next month for a week with a college society and was wondering what would people recommend to do in the city?

Also, any recommendations for things outside of the city? I was contemplating a trip to Auschwitz but it seems just that bit too far away.

Also, any good ice skating in the city?

    Thanks.

    go to Auschwitz
    its well worth it
if your in to history that is

    its a real life experience
i went once 2 years ago and i could actually just feel death around me , the tour guide shows you inside the places where they stayed
    shows the chambers
its a real experience which i think everyone should visit because its something in history that will be their forever and ever.

    on top of that
dont go to any football matchs :L unless your looking to get into fights with neo nazi's,polish gangs or to get peper sprayed by a hose gun off the police over their :D
