Hello,
Could someone please tell me anything about this old and very badly worn sword. i have checked online and i think it may be some sort of officers infantry sword?? or perhaps im way off!! Anyway il probably be laughed at asking if its worth anything but it is xmas after all.
i have attached some pics, the blade is very badly chipped and stained, the hilt is loose and there is no scabbard.
the hilt has a crown with the letters "iv"
any info is very greatly appreciated. Merry Xmas to you all!!
