We are looking for an interior designer in South Dublin area. We have just finalised design for full house renovation and extension and would like to get professional interior design advice. Anyone know or work with someone you would recommend? Please PM.
Very little in budget for this so looking for real value for money.

What is your budget, because you wont get very far unless you know your exact budget for this.

You could buy a few ID magazines in Easons and Tesco, get a few paint brochures in the various paint shops and browze through them to get an idea of what you like.Buy a few paint sampler tins and try them out too.

No harm in doing the painting yourself,if you are anyway usefull with a paint brush and roller.

Take a trip to the likes of a good furniture store and also the likes of Ikea in Balymun and Tilestyle in Balymount. Both shops have full house size room mock ups so you can see what you like and dont like in the flesh.

I did this and saved a fortune (did all the painting and ID ourselves)...more money in my back pocket is best for me.:)

I also shopped around and looked in the various fabric shops..chose my fabric and had my blackout curtains made to suit my window sizes and colours of the various rooms in the house. My girlfriend picked out the various paint colours, and we painted the entire house ourselves, after the builders had left and the dust had settled.

Hickeys/HomeFocus,Clerys and Homestore & More are very good for end of line curtain ranges in the January Sales...you will get designer curtains at a fraction of the price..if you are a good bargain hunter and are quick off the mark.
