Help please I'm new to Android and I finally yesterday decides to root my nexus 7 and flash a custom rom onto it. Now it won't boot and from a lot and google searching I think I've bricked it and I'm wondering is there any easy way to fix it.

Can you get into fastboot mode? Hold down volume up and volume down and power on the Nexus. If so you can, then download the factory image from here:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images and reflash the factory image. Details here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796

Unless you have a hardware issue a 'brick' is almost always recoverable, especially with a popular device.
