Its Behind You!

When I was in my first term as a student in England, me and the lads got to know a few girls who lived near by.

Anyways, we would pop round to theirs and play cards and stuff, gin rummy etc..before heading out.

One evening there was only 3 of us there; me and 2 of the girls. So one of them says "Can I read your cards"...(She was a serious enough girl, and she took the card reading seriously too.)

So me and her friend, the other girl says "fire ahead"...big joke sorta thing.

So she says to the girl, "you are going to marry someone you have just met". (I had known the girls for about 6 weeks at this stage).

So then she says "You 2 are going to get married"....yeah right..I thought she was having a laugh....anyways, she went on to tell us that we would have 2 children, both girls and she told us what their first name initials would be.

One was a common enough initial, and the other was an uncommon initial for a girls first name. There were only a very few options for that, so we named them.

The girl getting her cards read with me says, "That was my mums name".. (her mum had died years before). And I says, "No way am I naming my child that!".

The girl reading the cards said that I would have a life threatening illness, but would survive. And that we would never be rich, but would live long and happy lives.

I started dating the girl and soon after I had a dream where a man (whom I believed to be her father, as he had recently died, but I had never met ) said to me sternly "Make sure you look after her".

I told her about the dream, but she said it was a load of nonsense (as she didn't believe in the afterlife, and still doesn't).

So 23 years later, we are married, 2 girls, with the same initials as she had predicted, real happy but totally un-rich!! (Who cares) :D...

I nearly snuffed it a few years ago from a rare illness, but survived.

And the unusual name/initial thing....well, my second daughter was born on the same day as her grandmother, so we named her after her grandmother ("No way am I naming my child that!").....so there ya go, we did.

We still keep in contact with the girl who read our cards, and I always meant to ask her was she psychic...must do that some day.
