Why do people drive at night with fog lights on when there is no fog?
Retards! Blinding oncoming traffic. Extremely dangerous.
There must be penalty points for this?

Fog lights aren't blinding, they are about the same as a dimmed headlight.

Might as well get in my season's greetings to my fellow boardsies before the padlock appears!

Fog lights use the same wattage of bulb as the headlights and they shine low and directly in front of the car so they do not blind on coming traffic.

Mis-aligned ones will blind traffic in exactly the same way as mis-aligned headlights will.

Ah the old "why do people drive with fog lights on?" thread, aka "what's the meaning of life"? :)

Apologies, but respectfully they are on Skanger mobiles.

True but when people use them when it's just raining they do make an annoying glare on the road, as they're using twice the wattage with fogs on too.

Respectfully, it is an appropriate road safety topic in dark Winter days.

Full beams in a built up area is more annoying really, especially when they don't throw the dipped headlights back on when they see you. Nah, blinding me is much better.

Cool? Perhaps the drivers of Skanger cars think so?

Agree mis-aligned lights can be blinding also

Perhaps lads who get them fitted feel like they have to get there money's worth. Rather than just using them the 2 or 3 times a year there on the road in bad fog.
