Any Octavia owners see this problem before?

I have a problem with my mothers 2008 Octavia. For some reason the front and rear washer jets and the rear wiper have stopped working,no sound from them just completely dead.

I've tried the vagcom and its giving me an "open to ground" but doesn't tell me where. I've checked as much as I can without going too deep into the internals.

So have any of ye fellow Boards Octavia lovers had a similar issue and can ye remember what it was?

Oh and I've tried the fuses etc and still no joy. The front wipers still work but I'm still suspicious of the stalk.

Yes that works although there has been a fault in the aircon since the holidays. The right footwell temp sensor is giving and implausible signal. Have the sensor but need to fit it. The fault has been in the aircon for a longtime before this happened.

@Nissandoctor yes both went at the same time but all fuses are good. I can't see your post but I saw it in the email. Must have a look at the wiring diagram on auto data and see if there's a relay somewhere to check. Are the relays behind the interior fuse box like it is in my passat?

Did you test/replace the fuses or just look at them. I had a fuse go recently, took it out, looked ok so put it back. It wasn't until I replaced it with a known good one that I realised it was blown (it had a very fine hairline break).

Yeah I had it replaced. Same thing has happened to me in the rally car so that was my first plan.
