I have just purchased a skoda octavia vrs on a 2007 plate.
The deisel partical filter light came on, so I added some Wynn's deisel particulate filter regenerator. Problem went away, for three weeks.
Now the light is back on, together with a 'control system for exhaust gases' light. Power has disappeared and engine won't rev over 3500 rpm.
Only had the car eight weeks. Does this look expensive ?

    Private or dealer?

Cut it out and remap it is the cheapest option, although it could be a sensor. Best get the fault code scanned.

Thanks for that. Just been told that it is more than likely the sensor. Going to get it checked out tomorrow. Watch this space, and cheers again.
