Brazilian goalkeeper Evanildo Rodrigues somehow contrives to send a free-kick out for a corner from inside his own penalty area. Playing for Qatari team El Jaish SC against Al Rayyan, Evanildo takes the free-kick and decides to try and play a crossfield pass to his full-back at the last minute – one awful slice of the ball later and the goalkeeper is watching the ball curl dangerously towards his own goal. Fortunately for El Jaish SC it curls off for a corner. However, after a recent effort, it's still probably not quite the worst free-kick of all time

Corcoran lines up his set piece in a promising position, looking to loft a ball deep into his opponent's area. Instead he slips and strikes the ball with his knee; the ball falls at the feet of an opponent, who launches a rapid counter-attack that ends in a goal. Chelmsford lost 3-0
