I bought a few sets of Tesco 200 and 300 LED Christmnas lights and my girlfriend installed them around the house and garden.

Can anyone with some knowladge please tell me roughly what would be the daily cost to run a set of 300 lights?

All the lights are on 7 day digital timers and come on at 4;30pm and go off at 1am...so 8.5 hours daily use.

Ive attached a pic of the specs of the lights.

So what would the daily running cost be,per a 300 set of lights??

    Thanks.:)

Girlfriend and myself were talking about it earlier this evening, after she said that was it,she was putting up no more lights.:pac::D

2 x 200 set of LED lights on the indoor tree.
1 x 100 set of LED lights around the front porch.
1 x 200 set of LED lights along the raised railway sleeper garden border.
2 x 200 set of LED lights on the outdoor Christmas tree.
1 x 300 set of LED lights around the roofs/guttering on the house

An 8 hour period is not even worth mentioning. For 24 hours a day for 7 days is 27 cent for a 300 set if the max is 9 watts.

If we take that as 50% efficient for a worst case scenario, that would be 54 cent per week per set of 300.

Since they will only be on 8 hours a day, you can run 3 sets for 7 days for 54 cent if the efficiency was as low as 50%. Either way its very little.

Yea they cost little to run. I have a set out on a tree in the garden I mentioned before, coming on with a dark sensor. I leave on all night, the longest of which will be this Friday, although that`s not the earliest sunset, which was last Friday. More useless info there.

Yep,she hopped up on the ladder and installed all the gutter clips and then all the lighting too.
