Samsung mobile internet to laptop

    I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini with free internet bundle.
    I want to tether it somehow to my laptop so I can use the internet on the laptop, ideally without downloading SamsungKies.
    Any thoughts or good links?

    Go into setting and turn on the portable hotspot, and connect via wifi to tether.
    Are you on a bill phone, are you sure the free internet includes tethering?

    A handy app for tethering is pda net. It's in the play store.
