Hi I'm looking for a bit of help with my geography dissertaion. All is welcome.

Basically it's analysing what effects a specific retail outlet has on the community.
    • Currently I'm sending out a questionnaire to guage perceptions etc
    • Conducting qualitative interview with community leaders, politicians, retail groups

I want to tie all this data into a GIS generated map showing the demographics of different areas, and the number of retail outlets located there.

    * It would also be a big help if I could get the individual store accounts for each store - is this possible if it's a listed company?*

Could someone point me towards a good tutorial/book/website/dataset for doing something like this

    Cheers

Sounds like you're making a Retail Impact Assessment, a document required to be included in planning applications for large retail stores. You can get hold of these documents from the planning departments in the Council.
