Christmas gun choice

With any selection, the purpose of use is key and do you spend most of your time indoor or outdoor? Do you already have an AR type or an SMG type in your collection?

It comes down to what you require for the task, as the AR's are good outdoor and okay indoor, the SMG's are okay outdoor and excellent indoor

Personally I'm a fan of the tool for every job doctrine ;)

Also, the wow factor has much to do with this choice and the MP7's are epic, not had the Umarex MP7 AEP before and a couple of people I know have or had them this year, never heard a bad word to be honest and can only advise in detail about the TM MP7's

Have both versions, the AEP and GBB, cannot stress enough how good the TM MP7's are :D

N11 Outdoor store has withdrawn the Umarex MP7 from sale. Apparently they are too underpowered (shooting at .25 of a joule) so dodged a bullet there.
I too subscribe to the tool for every job principal and considering my collection at the moment is almost exclusively CQB I went for the CM16R8L as I plan to be playing a fair bit of outdoor in the new year :)
That said an MP7 is definitely on the cards at some stage :pac:

Get the TMP MP7A1 GBB. Seriously.

It's the most expensive on the market, unfortunately, but is king of the hill as far as accuracy goes. Finish is superior than the KWA/KSC MP7 GBB, and it comes as standard with the multi-position stock (unlike the KWA/KSC). Felt recoil is a big bonus from such a little gun...I never enjoyed using the AEP version. Always found it just a little...lacking. Not in performance mind you, just in feel. I can't honestly say I find anything on the TM MP7A1 GBB lacking...at all.

The only caveat thus far is a couple of instances of failed loading nozzles. It's not something I'd be too worried about considering the likes of Guarder etc will release reinforced versions, as well as originals available for purchase on Echigoya and Redwolf.

It is the most fun airsoft gun I have ever used, period.

A friend of mine has a TM MP7A1, I'd buy one tomorrow but mrs backthephilup would make me live in the garden with the dog if I spent that much money on a gun. Well if she caught me....... no she always catches me :(

Mine let me on the condition that she can use it when she wants. It was a compromise I was only too happy to make :D

If you weren't already cqb focused, I'd suggect one of the KAC PDWs. Got a cheap one and had to rebuilt the gearbox but it's pretty nimble and accurate.
I'm going to skirmish it at a cqb game on the 26th after I've finished setting up the internals but already I'm starting to like it.
I'm also on the getting an MP7 one day-wagon but it has to wait for the funds and for the excess in the collection to be cut.
