Parking Sensors for Passat

    Morning all,

    My name's Kaiser and I have a problem :o

While I've never actually hit anything, I've decided I'm tired of having to get out of the car and check how much room I still have behind me when reversing into a spot (I always reverse in you see) only to find there's still a fair bit to go yet.

Anyone with a B6 Passat will know the rear visibility is shyte as the mirror + high rear window line makes it look like you're on top of something when you're still about a foot away... especially those bloody metal poles that they often stick behind a parking space but which disappear from the rear view long beforehand. I really don't fancy one of them creasing my boot.

Then there's the fact that VW in its wisdom dropped one of the reversing lights from the B6 model and the remaining one is next to useless in dark/bad weather (especially if you're not familiar with the area). Why they couldn't just leave 2 like they had on the B5/5.5....

So, after nearly 5 years of having the car, I'm thinking about getting parking sensors for it, and this is where you guys come in. Ideally I want someone decent to supply and fit in the Dublin area. It doesn't have to be too fancy - sure it'd be nice to have cameras and what not, but a simple beep will do when ya get close!

Any thoughts? Companies to call? Guideline prices etc?

    Cheers!
