    Hi Guys,

I'm getting no channels on my Samsung ue50es5500 Smart TV with the All For One SV9141 indoor arial.
Our nearest station is Kippure on Channel 54. I should be able to get at least something but so far I've got no channels at all.

I'm pretty sure I have everything set up correctly.

Has anyone set up with this configuration before? If so, I'd greatly appreciate a bit of guidance.

    Thanks!

The thing with these one for all aerieals is that they need to be by a window to work. In most cases they provide a very short cable with them which make that nearly impossible. But you can extend the cable with an RF cable extender.

Short of moving the TV and the aerial it wont work in the middle of the room. Have you tried Channel 30 as well ?

Thanks STB. The cable is outrageously short!
I did get the Saorview channels working for about 5 minutes yesterday morning and the quality was fine. However, I turned off the TV and went out for a few hours, and when I came back there were no channels and tuning them in again didn't work.

There was a change in weather from the morning but surely this shouldn't affect it this much?

Only 10% of people can use indoor aerials, and that is a particularly bad example of an indoor aerial. You are one of the 90% that needs to get an outdoor or possibly loft aerial. You spent a lot on your TV, why ruin it for the sake of a decent aerial.

    Hi winston_1.
I'm in a situation where I'm renting an apartment and the management company refuse to allow anyone to put an arial on the roof to get a proper Saorview signal. The only option I have is an indoor arial but so far this has been a complete disaster!

Any suggestions of indoor arials that are of higher quality?

I can understand the management company not wanting lots of individual aerials on the roof, but not providing a communal reception system in this day and age is totally unreasonable. Why not get together with the other tenants and ask (insist) this is done? Or move to another apartment with a more enlightened management company.

In the meantime the better indoor aerials are ones that look like a miniature outdoor aerial. The Telecam ones are one of the better ones. Don't bother with the amplified version, you'll only amplify noise. Likewise don't bother with the one with additional rods, they are for FM radio.

It does seem odd, even allowing for a change in atmospheric conditions that the channels are completely gone - I'm surprised that you didn't at least get some sort of distorted or stuttered sound/picture.

Could it be the case that when you switched your TV back on that it defaulted to a different source (e.g. cable stb instead of TV)?
Just double check that you have chosen TV as your source & see if they show. Are the channels still showing in your TV's stored channel list (they should be, even if you don't have an arial connected) If not try scanning again & choose aer/arial digital scan.
