Weird temps on a new build

    I just put a i7 3770 and asrock z77 pro 3 together for a friend recently.

The z77 and non k might seem like a mismatch but asrock have a non k overclock feature that runs the cpu at 4.1. It works great and was prime stable for 30 mins but I had to stop testing at that stage with stock cooler because of temps. I will do more testing when he gets a new cooler.

Anyway I've gone a bit off topic.
I tested the tempeatures at stock cpu speed with stock cooler.
I real temp at idle core temps were something like 17|4|5|15
Of course this is wrong there is no way a core is running at 4c with a stock cooler.

Under load everything was normal about 65 on all cores with prime running.

Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? Software fault or maybe sensor?

I'd be inclined to think there's a sensor screwed somewhere. Even 17/15 seem too cold for a stock cooler (IMO)
