So what new shows out there might be worth my time checking out? Preferably those that will actually see a second season!

So far I've only tried "Elementary" and from the four episodes I've seen I'm very happy with it. Johnny Lee Miller is excellently cast.

But there are others out there right?

its been a poor enough season i think, while i have picked up a few shows none are really great,

probably the best being Elementary by a fair bit (a lock for season 2, and potential to become a great show is they develop it right),

Arrow (performing brilliantly, with its rating and being on the CW its a lock for season 2) is pretty ok, kind of similar in storytelling to nikita or smallville, with a bit of revenge mixed in,

Revolution (the overall viewing figures keep dwindling ever so slightly each week, but its out performing castle and hawaii five-0 in the 18-49 demos, which are the only ones that count, so if it keeps it demo advantage when it returns its also a lock for renewal) im still kind of swaying back on forth on if ill keep watching,

The Neighbors is a great comedy, by far the best of the season in my books anyway, but its not performing in the ratings and with being on ABC and im kind dreading it will be a one season wonder,

Go On is also a fairly good show, pulls in similar numbers to Neighbors but the fact that its on NBC means it will more than likely get renewed with the numbers its pulling in,

thats what ive picked up this season anyway, neighbors is probably the least likely for renewal, but i still think its worth a watch, Arrow is worth a gander, but i would probably leave revolution for a while yet, there is potential, but weather it can live up it is still debatable, and youve already watched some of elementary, it is by far the best new show in my books, i called that after seeing all the pilots,

Elementary and The Neighbours are the only two shows I could recommend to be honest..

I think Arrow is worth watching. Started strongly and so far I am enjoying it every week.

And I am watching Go On but it wouldn't be on my must see list, once again started strongly but there have been some weak episodes and I'm not sure it's found its level yet.

Watched the first episode of the US series Deception (not the one on TV3) and I'll give it another few to settle in, but I think I'll get annoyed with it.
It's a bit like Revenge with an undercover cop infiltrating a family to find out the 'truth', but to be honest I'm already annoyed at all the 'narrow misses' and how the family haven't copped on yet, so it will demand a VERY long stretch of credibility.
And that's what's annoying me about Revenge this season, so I can see I'll get annoyed with it soon if that's the way it continues.
other than that I agree, poor selection this year, any of my 'must see' are recurring series.
