Older type Astravan 1.7dti. The engine is bullet proof also the older types are cheap to buy. Plenty of room in the back for tools.

The guy is spending €2k, is resale value really that important over a good van within budget? Caddy's even SDi ones are still fetching silly money.

I borrowed an Opel Combo 1.3 Cdti for a few months a couple of years back and even though it had a coolant leak somewhere and well abused it still did the job. Plenty of these within budget.

The Nixers are freebies so i wont need to pay tax as no money is changing hands??:D.. am a sparky..Thanks for all the comments so far i aint really two worried about resell yet but down the line it might be an option but iam more concerned about getting a van that wont let me down and is not to hard on juice. it will also be used to transport my fishing/shooting gear all over ireland:D
    Thanks for all the advice:D

Personally I despise berlingos. I've had one for almost 2 years and I can't wait to be rid of it
