Selling tickets for concerts to people who are desperate for them

I was thinking of buying a few Eminem tickets next week just for the sole purpose of selling them online a few days before the concert. Do people actually pay a few hundred for an €80 ticket.

    Anyone any experience?

    I fucking hate touts!!!

People who do that are scum.
Leave the tickets to the people that actually need them. The fans.
Dont rip people off for your own gain.

Sold a red hot chillis ticket for a hundred quid a while back even though the concert didn't even sell out! People are dumb.

Illegal activity promoted on AH? This will end... quickly.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Ticket touting is a business like any other. Don't know why people have such a dislike of touts. If those without tickets were such fans, perhaps they would have gotten off their asses earlier to buy the tickets. Touts take a risk and can be left with tickets quite often, dumping them below face value when the event has begun/ is about to begin.

I'll offer you face value for them, if you want more you can go jump.

Why even bother buying the tickets. Just do what 90% of people do advertising tickets, just say you have them and take the money. :pac:

Ticket touting is not and never has been illegal.

I don't consider touting to be a business. Businesses have to operate in correspondance with codes of ethics, trade laws, etc. Touts are oppertunistic leeches.

The way to stamp out touting is for the promoter to issue e-tickets.
Entry to the venue is then by the Credit Card used to purchase the tickets.
Ticket master have already trialled this at the last Robbie Wllams concert at the O2 and it was a great success.

You seem to be very naive when it comes to business. They're all honest and decent people.

You're looking to manipulate the market (by buying a product and removing it from the market place) in order to later sell that product at an inflated to price to people who are desperate (your word, from the title of the thread).

Whatever about businesses being honest and decent (see my previous post about businesses having to operate within ethical boundaries, and why I dont consider touting a business) you can claim to be neither.

Concert tickets are limited. Touts take limited tickets from fans and sell them at exploitative prices. Its profiteering and scummy.

I'm not forcing anyone to by the ticket at whatever price I say. It's their choice. If they're desperate (i like that word) enough to go to the concert and want to pay extra then that's their choice.

To be totally honest I don't have a massive issue with it as as long as the OP pays VAT declares it to the revenue and isn't claiming state benefit... hmm what are the chances? :pac:

    LOL. That's all.

You think when you go to the shop to buy something, you're not paying extra and making them a profit?

Oh yeah like I'm going to give more money to the real scumbags in this country.

You think I could afford tickets if i was on state benefit?

Equally you are providing a service to those who don't wish to queue and can afford to pay an inflated price for the benefit of not having to do so.

Do you think Tesco would be allowed to buy up all the bananas and be the only place you could buy them or do you think we have laws in regard to that?

As I say crack on as long as you pay the relevant taxes and aren't on the dole.

Ok, I got a business idea for you.
Go down your local Tesco bright and early Monday and buy all the bread. All of it.
Then set up a stall outside and sell it at double the Tesco price.

No because people are not desperate for the bread. They can just go into Tesco and buy it.

2 days before a concert when there are no tickets left, where they gonna go? Scumbags like me.

Tesco will have another delivery arriving before you've set up your stall :)

    its not worth it,

i got my fingers burnt a few years back with the Barbara Streisand concert...bought a pair of tickets with the intension of making a killing, but the concert never sold out...so i ended up selling them outside the venue on the day at a loss

learnt my lesson that day, never again

(before you say it...yes i know serves me right)
