AMD heatsink won't latch on to brackets

    the stock cooler that came with the AMD FX 8320 won't clip onto the latches on the AsRock 970 extreme3 motherboard. I've been here for well over an hour and they just wont fit!

    I've used a lot of force too, even if i do manage to clip it on I doubt that I would be able to lock the lever onto place.

    It does; trust me. Just attach one side, and use all your force on the other. It's meant to be extremely tight.

    As for locking on the lever, it closes without any hassle at all.

    If its already in the case i'd take the motherboard our again and put it on a flat Non conductive surface like a table. You'll be able to get better leverage and their is no chance of damaging the motherboard by flexing it too much.
