UPC SKY, other options?

    Folks,
What are my options for TV?
SKY? - do not want to deal with SKY and give money to the Murdoch empire, so SKY is out.
UPC - dealt with them previously, not enamoured with their bully-boy tactics or lack of professionalism (simply my opinion, not an endorsement of their business practice)
Dish - not aesthectically pleasing, but a possibility.

Any other options, providers out there that people are happy with?

Saorview or an IPTV provider (I think Magnet's the only one left, but I could be wrong on that)

Note that if you really, really don't want to give money to Sky then Saorview or a Saorview/Freesat/Free-to-Air satellite combination is really your only option.
No matter which pay-TV provider you subscribe to, they almost all carry Sky One and/or Sky News in the basic package which means some of your money is eventually ending up back with BSkyB.

If going the free route just be aware of what channels you will not have. In particular what shows you will no longer receive. For example pay movies, pay sports, an pay channel such as discovery etc.

For most channels you need a dish, an old Sky one will work fine.

Have a look in the satellite and terrestrial sections for you options.

You get about 5 Irish and about 20-25 good UK ones worth watching and about 500 shopping channels etc.
