MD golf irons- anyone tried them?

    Just wondering if anyone has tried the Seve Icon forged irons?

    Just wondering what they are like. I use the MD wedges which I find excellent. But have never seen the irons in any shops, just online. So haven't had a chance to see them in the flesh. Can be got for under €200. Bit of a bargain for a forged set of irons?

    Dont get them and I say that as a die hard MD golf fan, 4 MD clubs in the bag at the moment and used to play their (different) irons as well.
    Those clubs are just a disaster, the TT Release shafts are more suited to senior or lady golfers, I just couldn't hit any of them without ballooning and ending up well short of my target.
    I'm not sure how the sole is designed but they just seemed to never hit the turf as I wanted, sometimes digging, sometimes thinning. That may have been my swing, but I could hit pure blades better than these. I play the GC16 tours at the moment and they wouldn't be too dissimilar.

    MD just haven't made irons as good as the forged Superstrongs and only one particular model of those. They now seem to be aiming at the SGI irons and its really a shame, when they bring out a good set of irons again I will be first in line to buy.
