The most expensive drink you've drank?

I was reading about some guy in england who ran up a bar bill £121,000 in just 3 hours, http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4696506/playboy-blows-121000-on-champagne-after-casino-win.html , spending £26,000 on one bottle of champagne alone...

Now the most expensive thing i've ever drank was an €8 shot of grey goose (didnt notice any difference between the cheap tesco vodka although i did mix with red bull :D ), €7.60 for pint bottle of bulmers in Temple bar a couple of years ago and of €4.25 for a room tempature mocha in Starbucks...

Anyways what was the most you've paid for a drink and was it worth it?

I'd love to know what a £26,000 glass of wine taste like tbh, i wonder does it make you live longer or somethin, cause it would fcuking want to at that bloody price! :)

I've spent well over a grand for bottles of champagne or whisky when I've been out quite a few times.

Most expensive I've drank was an £8000 bottle of champagne that someone else bought though.

Some fancy Remy Martin that was 2k for a ten glass bottle, by the neck.:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

No idea but guessing that it was probably bought in one of the classy establishments in Leeson St. Sold by some charlatan with the words "Would sir like a bottle of our finest liebfraumilch for a knock down price of €34?".

What's with the comma in the thread title? Was the OP asking an expensive drink if it's ever drank?

I once had a Remy Martin XO bought for me. I swallowed it in one go like a neanderthal due to being drunk at the time. It was all well and good until the next morning when I was told it was IR£45 (punts) a shot at the time. I nearly puked into my vomit.

for a bottle in privalge? i think you got off lightly. When i was there, a friend of mine had the first round and paid that price for 2 shots of vodka and one red bull... i went missing for the second round :D

it's a lovely drink too, up there with the Hennessy XO, which I buy every year for Christmas, along with a Johnny Walker Blue Label. Possibly my two favourite drinks.

2 cocktails and a plate of 4 sliders came to €75. Was outstanding though.

Was there for new years once - it would've been cheaper to go out in dublin AND get mugged on the way home! And every second pub/club/restaurant shut up at around 9pm - on new years eve!! Beautiful place full though

Yep, same here, once is enough as it's €8 for a glass (not pint) of their local beer in a bar and €14 for a lukewarm bottle of Carlsberg in a night club.

It is a lovely city, but prior to afformentioned pissup, I went to the HardRock cafe, burger+fries and a beer....€35.

Near the end we were drinking some mad **** cocktails in a tiki bar(dont ask), they must have been 25-30 euro each.

I purchased two litre bottles of Absolut in Dublin airport for €10 each, along with an 8 pack of RedBull, as we knew that it was going to be really expensive.

It was a wise move because I spend over €100 in a only few hours on food and drinks in a local bar so nipped back to the hotel to get wasted before hitting the club.

Unbelievably expensive up there but the women are absolutely phenomenal looking to balance everything out! :pac:

My brother buys loads of weird things for the bar. He bought a bottle of alcohol with a cobra in it, that cost a couple of hundred.

Most expensive I've actually drank was a bottle of champagne costing over 3,000 euro. My sister got it free from her old job :) I'll stick to my 5euro lidl wine I think
