Ok so my current system is getting slower.

    Dell Inspiron
    Vista 32
    Dual core
2gb ram (upgraded a while back to 4)
    1tb 2x500 FULL
    512mb asus graphics card

I'm looking for a workstation that would be similar to http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ShowSystem.asp?SystemID=1005 but not similar in price!

Would I be better off building from scratch or ordering online from above website

I have no build experience but wouldn't not try it.

I'd be looking for the new pc to last, must be silent have at least 3tB space and 6ram min.

Well first off I don't think you need to buy a workstation pc for music production or gaming, they're are mostly for people who need serious computer horsepower for stuff like video rendering etc, not really good for games.

Secondly, it depends on your budget and what you actually need. Do you need a full system like the pc, monitor, keyboard, mouse? Or just the actual pc on its own? Once you've decided that then you need to decide your budget, you get what you pay for but that's not to say you can't build a really good system on the cheap!
